Everyone at Aziza’s Place has been enjoying the energy and creativity of volunteer Lauren Refaat since her arrival at the end of December 2011. Lauren is from Egypt and most recently from London. We are excited to hear that she will spend the next few months volunteering at Aziza’s Place as she has quickly become part of the AP family. Lauren teaches English and Computer classes for the AP staff during the week, and enjoys spending time with the children in the evenings by giving extra tutoring support during their homework sessions. She is also utilising her marketing experience by giving advice for updating the AP website. As a good friend of co-founder Amjad Ghori, Lauren was delighted to take up his suggestion to spend time at Aziza’s Place. We thank her for her exuberance and insights as she becomes a supporting member of the AP team.
